iNLIGHTEN Photography's 10th Birthday Celebration!

Upon receiving the hand-delivered invite for iNLIGHTEN Photography's 10th Birthday Extravaganza, beautifully designed by Ooh-Aah Invitations, I'm sure that like myself all 300 invitees sensed something magical brewing.

Celebrity Wedding Planner Anthony Del Col gave away no hints when cheekily suggested he provide a sneak preview on what to expect (the anticipation was killing me!). His response was "expect amazing"...'amazing' was an understatement - the event was an enchanted fairy-tale telling the magical story of iNLIGHTEN's 10 years in this terrific industry.

To impress the Australian Wedding Industry is surely a challenging task, but iNLIGHTEN and their very talented friends managed to create an event that was nothing short of marvelous.

Upon our approach we were greeted with Traci Firefly fire twirler- the scene was set for a whirling carnival, the perfect back-drop to host an extended list of VIPs.
Fairground Follies, Sydney's best kept secret venue, an Antique Mechanical Music Museum unquestionably surprised many! Everything was themed perfectly, down to the assortment of flowers adorning cocktail tables by Maria Lush.

I was like a kid in a candy store (and a British one at that!). A Wedded Wonderland! The restored antique fairground rides and concessions dating up to 100 years lit up the room with a warm golden glow and the child in me immediately yearned for a ride on the charming carousel.

Over whelmed by choice, I couldn't decide where to begin my adventure...
Perhaps I could have my photo taken at Polite in Public’s Photo booth (check out your photos HERE), or get my hands on the delectable sweet buffet by Blue Spoon Dreams, creating delicious works of art, or maybe enjoy a little slight of hand by Adrian Dean the Magician, perhaps even treat myself to a shot of 'the green fairy' by Absinthe Salon? So. Much. To. Do.
With Oyster Bay at hand your thirst was always quenched, complimented with delicious canapes prepared with flair by Toast Group.
Images of iNLIGHTEN Photography's work over the years were strategically placed around the room for their guests to enjoy. I couldn’t help but feel a little special in the presence of those who have created and have upheld the credibility of the Australian Wedding Industry for many years - a testament to iNLIGHTEN’s relationships and rapport built over the last 10 years. The crème de la crème were present to celebrate this joyous occasion, and to wish iNLIGHTEN many more years to come.
Victoria Black from Wildfire Publishing introduced a short film by UntitledFilmworks, an inspiring and emotional reflection of TEAM iNLIGHTEN’s journey.

Along with a flood of others, I hunted Dean and Rachael to congratulate the team on an amazing event and a wonderful 10 years. I spotted Rachael wearing a beautiful Stephanie Schell white cocktail dress in the distance enjoying the carousel. I waved and she elated "I hope you’re having fun!" I SURE WAS!! And then Sydney Wedding DJ's Brett Martin hit the decks, the festivities rolled and shimmied onto the dance-floor! Now if you know me, you would surely be aware of the company I was keeping... The Designer's of course! Every talented Australian Bridal Designer was in attendance.

Steven Khalil, Karen Willis Holmes, Lisa Gowing,
Rhonda Hemmingway, Louise Alvarez, Diane
Lewis, Arushie Couture, Personalised Weddings, Alana Patience of Dancing with the Stars, Manager of Vera Wang Boutique Sydney.

I could spot the personalities’ invited from a mile away, Polly & Waz from The Block (whose wedding will surely be photographed by iNLIGHTEN), Salvatore Coco, actor from Underbelly and Heartbreak High who is also a fabulous Wedding MC (have you heard him sing?!). Salvatore of course was front and center during the fabulously entertaining and interactive drumming session with Drum Circle Events. Then there was Scott Dooley,  radio personality, who was making many of the guests laugh with his antics.
Event Planners Lynette Bolton (wife of Sydney Swans Player Jude Bolton, and owner of LCB Productions) and Tara O'Keefe (wife of Sydney Swans player Ryan O'Keefe and owner of De La Mod Stationery) were also enjoying the nights festivities.

I can honestly say I didn't want the fantasy evening to end. It was evidently clear how much the iNLIGHTEN team value their clients and colleagues...and definitely know how to throw a brilliant party! The effort that went into the event is a sneak peek of how iNLIGHTEN Photography do business. The goodies bag on exit was a great way to say thank-you, and I in turn on behalf of all guests say... We're looking forward to your 20th Birthday!!! :O)
